For the week of March 10-18th, we are in Juba and Torit, South Sudan regarding our interreligious reconciliation project in Torit.
We are working on an initiative to rebuild a Catholic cathedral that had been twice-destroyed by Islamists. The leader of the project, Rudwan Dawod, a Muslim from Darfur, is spearheading the project along with volunteers from Juba and Khartoum. We are hopeful that in the coming weeks and months ahead, this project will be fully restarted, as there is much enthusiasm surrounding it. Keep posted for our soon-to-be-released March newsletter which will explain our trip in more detail!
