PRAY
Sudan Sunrise holds prayer to be vital to fulfilling our vision. Some general prayer requests are listed below, or you may e-mail info@sudansunrise.org if you would like to join our intercessory prayer team to receive regular prayer requests. And, check out our “Support a Team or Mission” area for how to volunteer to pray for specific teams or missions.

Pray for:

  • Christians in Sudan and diaspora to stand firm and serve as witnesses of the grace of  God despite persecution.
  • The families in the Darfur region to receive help as they face the threat of malnutrition and disease. Pray for God to provide for the physical needs of families in the south.
  • Teachers to serve and work in refugee camps.
  • That the church in Sudan would be able to stand in the gap as an example of reconciliation despite tribal boundaries and battle lines.
  • A Holy-Spirit inspired peace plan for the Darfur region.
  • Southern Sudanese children, many of whom have been captured by warring tribes and forced to serve as slaves. Pray that these children will know a hope and a future that only God can provide.
  • Peace and unity in all of Sudan.
  • The needed resources to carry out the vision of Sudan Sunrise.

VOLUNTEER

Sudan Sunrise has many volunteer opportunities where you can make a difference. We need your business, administration, and computer skills in our Lenexa, KS office. If you have a heart to see a better Sudan and would like to serve in this ministry, we would be happy to speak with you about volunteer opportunities. Whether it’s once a week, once a month, or once a year, you can make a difference in the lives of the people of Sudan.

You can view videos that tell our stories under the Video section of our web site, or we will be happy to mail you a DVD copy. This DVD contains a powerful demonstration of the character of Christ when southern Sudanese Christians come to the aid of their former enemies.
