and vision of Sudan Sunrise.

at age seventeen and persevered through prison and refugee camps for three more years, winning the attention of United Nations officials who granted passage to the
Dinka tribesman to America.

Francis Bok has worked as an associate at the Boston-based American Anti-Slavery Group and is a reconciliation activist with Sudan Sunrise, an organization that works to facilitate reconciliation, solidarity and unity to the people in Sudan…

The Rev. Daniel Deng Kuot

The Rev. Daniel Deng Kuot, a Sudanese Anglican pastor, has been a key leader from the start in the outreach of Southern Sudanese to Darfurian Muslim refugees.  Daniel is currently working in his home village of Paloi to build a primary school for returning refugee children.  He is also helping with agriculture needs in the area.

Daniel spends part of the year working in Sudan and the rest of the year pastoring the Sudanese community in Omaha, Nebraska.

Dr. David C. Rine

Dr. David Rine has given his time and talent to help Sudanese and Sudan Sunrise in many areas. David speaks on behalf of Sudan Sunrise at churches, groups and schools, and led teams to South Sudan to the Boma area in 2007, and to New Site and Loki Light Academy in Kenya in 2009.

David supports the Rev. Daniel Kuot in many ways, and leads teams for Daniel’s mission to the people in Boma County and the village of Paloi, both in southeast Sudan. In January 2009 he delivered a laptop computer to Loki Light Academy where Daniel supports Sudanese students, and also delivered shirts made by his wife, Carolynne, to the students.

He also visited New Site in South Sudan, and prepared a report for the Archbishop of Sudan for a potential school project in New Site.
